Got a good #salary on the table? You are not done! Don’t be so eager to find a job that you lose sight of the risks of accepting the wrong job! Be sure other important boxes are checked, too. What benefits are available? How much does the employer contribute from day one? How will your performance be evaluated? When will your salary be reviewed? And then find out if the salary was their final offer or you can do better. How you ask this makes a big difference. You must not come across as negative on the job or demanding. You have to show that you have done your research and know about competitive salaries. Keep in mind that is is usually a bad idea to make more than your colleagues. Remember that this isn’t about your needs or wants but a competitive compensation based on your value and past experience. This conversation is an example of your #negotiation skills and your potential ability to advocate for your employer in the future!!
