Your name search makes your first impressionYour LinkedIn profile should not mimic your resume. The idea is to bait a stranger’s interest to learn how you think and what makes you successful. Demonstrate passion, drive & curiosity. LI is less about raw credentials & all about differentiating you from others with similar qualifications. Think broadly: if you don’t want a cookie cutter copy of your current job, communicate more than one dimension of your professional skills. Write a narrative that sounds like you talking. If that doesn’t attract someone then you aren’t a good match for them. While you may have heard similar advice about resume content, today the 1st impression is made online, usually by searching “your name” that will bring up your LI information.
